The 304 stainless steel flat bar is a flat bar in austenitic AISI 304 stainless steel, used to fabricate supports, frames, reinforcements, bases, covers, light anchor plates, and machined parts where good corrosion resistance and clean presentation are required. Unlike stainless steel sheet, flat bar is purchased as a flat profile in defined width and thickness, ready to be cut, drilled, bent, or welded according to the assembly. AISI 304 corresponds to UNS S30400 grade and is often specified in bars and profiles under ASTM A276 criteria when the project requires material traceability; therefore certificate, finish, and tolerances should be confirmed before fabricating critical components. At TECTUL, selection is made by width, thickness, quantity, and final use, avoiding oversizing material when only stiffness, support, or anticorrosive finish is needed.

We dispatch to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, and all of Colombia. Request a quote via WhatsApp for your 304 stainless steel flat bar indicating width, thickness, quantity, delivery city, and whether you need cutting, certificate, or recommendation for industrial fabrication.
The price depends on width, thickness, quantity, supply length, finish, and availability. To quote accurately, send TECTUL the required size, units, delivery city, and whether you need material certificate.
No. Flat bar is a flat bar supplied by width and thickness for supports, reinforcements, and parts; sheet is a larger flat format cut or bent for covers, trays, or sheet fabrication.
It is normally cut, drilled, bolted, welded, or fixed to a structure according to design. Use tools suitable for stainless steel, avoid carbon steel contamination, and clean cutting or welding areas.
It is used in supports, frames, reinforcements, bases, guides, covers, machined parts, fine metalwork, and fabrication of elements exposed to moisture or frequent cleaning, always validating load and service environment.
AISI 304 offers good resistance to atmospheric corrosion and many process environments, but it is not the best option for concentrated chlorides, severe marine environments, or aggressive chemicals without technical evaluation.
Yes. When the project requires it, certificate and traceability must be requested at quotation stage. TECTUL validates availability according to size, lot, and commercial condition before dispatch.

The dimensions, thicknesses, finishes and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASTM, ASME, ISO, NTC and EN, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and thickness tolerances, surface finish and residual stresses from rolling or forming — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: overloads, vibration, mechanical or thermal fatigue, corrosion and operating conditions different from those stated.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) upon request; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever structural integrity may compromise people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
