The aluminum hose barb tee opens a third outlet in a flexible hose line with low weight. Each port is a barbed shank secured with a clamp over the hose; the lot covers 1/2" to 4". The allowable pressure is limited by the hose-clamp assembly, not by the fitting, and is validated at assembly.
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Material | Aluminum alloy |
| Configuration | Three barbed ports of the same size, at 90° |
| Selection | By hose inside diameter (nominal diameters per ISO 1307:2006) |
| Retention | Worm-drive clamp per DIN 3017 (or equivalent screw clamp) placed behind the barb ridge |
| Allowable pressure | Limited by the hose-clamp assembly; validated with a low-pressure test at assembly |
| Service | Water and fluids compatible with aluminum — validate fluid and temperature before operation |

The allowable pressure of the assembly is limited by the hose-clamp combination, not by the aluminum fitting: it depends on the hose, the clamping and the temperature, and is validated with a low-pressure test before operation.
The tee branches the flow into three ports; the union connects two hose ends in a straight line.
A worm-drive clamp per DIN 3017 (or equivalent screw clamp) sized to the outside diameter of the hose mounted on the barb, placed behind the ridge.
The hose inside diameter (1/2" to 4" in the lot, nominal series per ISO 1307:2006). If in doubt, send a photo with a caliper or the current fitting reference.
The price depends on the size and the quantity. TECTUL quotes per unit with the fluid and the equipment where it will be installed.

The dimensions, thicknesses, pressures, temperatures and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, ISO and NTC, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and wall-thickness tolerances (in pipe, typically ±12.5%), surface finish and residual stresses from forming or welding — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: water hammer, vibration, thermal and mechanical fatigue, corrosion and operating overpressures, which can cause the element to fail before its estimated service life.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies upon request the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) issued per the product standard; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever the integrity of the line may compromise the lives of people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
