It differs by the KL lot identification and the small 1/8, 5/32 and 3/16 sizes; it differs from the round head rivet per unit because it covers smaller diameters and not the 5/16 or 3/8 series. The commercial material of this reference is carbon steel, with inch sizes and per-unit sale. In rivets, selection should not be made by name only: confirm diameter, length, total thickness to join, access to support the head and closing method. The riveted joint is permanent; if disassembled, the rivet is normally destroyed, so it is advisable to validate the drilling and compatibility between materials beforehand.

Installation recommendations

• Use a clean hole fitted to the diameter, clamp the parts without looseness and rivet with flat support so the formed head remains centered.
• The hole must be aligned between the parts; excessive clearance reduces bearing and may create play after riveting.
• The length must allow the second head to be formed without leaving separation between sheets or deforming the thinner part.
• Avoid combining incompatible metals in humid environments without validating galvanic corrosion and surface finish.
• For repetitive production, test a sample before releasing the full assembly lot.
