The 304 stainless steel hot rolled checkered plate is an anti-slip AISI 304 stainless steel plate with a diamond pattern formed during the original hot rolling process. It is used on industrial floors, ramps, stairs, platforms, walkways, and washdown areas where grip, easy cleaning, and better corrosion resistance than painted carbon steel sheet are required. Compared with embossed 304 checkered sheet, this hot rolled version is preferred when the buyer needs a more robust pattern and a plate for operational traffic, not only visual cladding. 304 stainless steel is austenitic and widely used in food, industrial maintenance, and equipment fabrication; ASTM A480 is used as a reference for general finish and tolerance criteria for stainless flat products, and final selection must be validated against environment, load, support, and fabrication process.

The hot rolled version has the pattern associated with the original hot rolling process and is chosen for more demanding floors. The embossed version is cold formed and is often used when lower weight or cladding is the priority.
It must be supported on a firm structure, fastened with compatible welding or bolting, and finished with safe edges. Load and spacing between supports must be reviewed by design.
Yes. 304 offers good resistance to moisture and frequent washing, provided there are no high chlorides, aggressive chemicals, or carbon steel contamination.
It can be cut and fabricated with tools suitable for stainless steel. For bends, the pattern and thickness affect the radius and final finish.
This actual lot is available in 2,50 mm x 1219 x 2438 and 3,00 mm x 1219 x 2438, by unit.

The dimensions, thicknesses, finishes and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASTM, ASME, ISO, NTC and EN, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and thickness tolerances, surface finish and residual stresses from rolling or forming — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: overloads, vibration, mechanical or thermal fatigue, corrosion and operating conditions different from those stated.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) upon request; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever structural integrity may compromise people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
