The threaded male PVC pressure adapter converts a solvent-cemented end of the PVC pressure line into a male thread to connect valves, stops or metal fittings. It belongs to the PVC pressure system: pipe per NTC 382, Schedule 40 fittings per NTC 1339 (antecedent ASTM D2466-24), solvent cement per NTC 576 and NPT thread per ASME B1.20.1-2013 (R2018). The lot covers 1/2" to 6".
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Fittings standard | NTC 1339 — Schedule 40 PVC pressure fittings; antecedent ASTM D2466-24. Product seal of the lot to be confirmed when quoting |
| System pipe standard | NTC 382 — PVC pressure pipe classified by RDE (SDR) |
| Thread | Taper NPT per ASME B1.20.1-2013 (R2018), male end |
| Plain-end joint | Socket solvent-cemented per NTC 576 |
| Service | Pressurized water networks; working pressure is set by the pipe RDE and diameter — confirm per reference when quoting |
| Material | Rigid PVC |
| Lot sizes | 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3", 4", 6" |

We dispatch to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla and all of Colombia. Quote the threaded male PVC pressure adapter via WhatsApp stating size, quantity and pipe type to confirm availability.
Schedule 40 PVC pressure fittings follow NTC 1339, whose antecedent is ASTM D2466-24; the NPT thread follows ASME B1.20.1-2013 (R2018) and the solvent cement NTC 576. The product seal of the lot is confirmed when quoting.
No single pressure is published: in the PVC pressure system the working pressure is defined by the pipe RDE per NTC 382 and the diameter, and the threaded joint governs; it is confirmed per reference when quoting.
The male delivers an external NPT thread to enter a female connection; the female adapter receives a male thread. In both, the other end is a solvent-cement socket per NTC 576.
First the socket is cemented to the pipe per NTC 576 and left to cure; then it is threaded with compatible sealant, hand-tight plus a tool finish without over-torque.

The dimensions, thicknesses, pressures, temperatures and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, ISO and NTC, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and wall-thickness tolerances (in pipe, typically ±12.5%), surface finish and residual stresses from forming or welding — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: water hammer, vibration, thermal and mechanical fatigue, corrosion and operating overpressures, which can cause the element to fail before its estimated service life.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies upon request the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) issued per the product standard; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever the integrity of the line may compromise the lives of people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
