The threaded PVC bulkhead fitting passes through a tank or vessel wall and delivers a threaded connection on both sides, sealing against the wall with a nut and gasket. It is used in water storage tanks and gravity drains. No NTC or ASTM product standard exists for bulkhead fittings: dimensions, thread and gasket are the manufacturer’s and are confirmed when quoting. Lot from 1/2" to 2".
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Function | Through-wall connection for tank walls or thin walls, with clamping nut and sealing gasket |
| Material | Rigid PVC |
| Product standard | Non-standardized: no NTC/ASTM designation applies to the bulkhead fitting as a product; manufacturer dimensions — confirm when quoting |
| Thread | Thread type and usable length of the lot confirmed when quoting; if NPT, geometry follows ASME B1.20.1-2013 (R2018) |
| Gasket | Gasket material (usually an elastomer) per manufacturer — confirm when quoting |
| Service | Water tanks and gravity drains; PVC chemical compatibility with the stored liquid confirmed when quoting |
| Lot sizes | 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/2", 2" |

We dispatch to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla and all of Colombia. Quote the threaded PVC bulkhead fitting via WhatsApp stating size, wall thickness and quantity to confirm availability.
None specific to the product: bulkhead fittings have no NTC or ASTM designation of their own, so dimensions, thread and gasket are the manufacturer’s and are confirmed when quoting; if the thread is NPT, its geometry follows ASME B1.20.1-2013 (R2018).
With a nut that compresses a gasket against the drilled wall; the gasket normally goes on the wet side and tightening must avoid over-torque so it does not deform.
The threaded version delivers direct thread on both sides to connect pipe or fittings without extra parts; the plain one requires cementing the outer-side connection.
Nominal size, thickness of the wall to cross, stored liquid and quantity; with that the reference, gasket and lot availability are confirmed.

The dimensions, thicknesses, pressures, temperatures and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, ISO and NTC, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and wall-thickness tolerances (in pipe, typically ±12.5%), surface finish and residual stresses from forming or welding — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: water hammer, vibration, thermal and mechanical fatigue, corrosion and operating overpressures, which can cause the element to fail before its estimated service life.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies upon request the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) issued per the product standard; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever the integrity of the line may compromise the lives of people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
