The stainless steel threaded union connects two threaded ends and allows a section to be disassembled without rotating the entire pipe. It is useful in small pumps, equipment, filters, manifolds, water, air or process lines and installations where stainless steel is selected for corrosion resistance or cleanliness. TECTUL sells it per unit in stainless steel and it differs from the stainless universal coupling because the priority is joining inline sections with a compact threaded body; the universal type is usually chosen when frequent disconnection with a central nut is required. It also differs from a galvanized union by material: stainless steel is preferable in humid environments, moderate chemicals or installations where surface oxidation is not acceptable.
