The stainless steel Y strainer is a fluid conveyance accessory designed to retain solid particles before pumps, valves, meters, nozzles or sensitive equipment. Its stainless steel body makes it a practical option when better corrosion resistance is sought than in bronze or plastic strainers, especially in industrial water networks, recirculation, washing, light processes and installations where periodic cleaning of the filtering element is part of maintenance. This reference differs from the bronze Y strainer by its material and from the disc filter because it works as an in-line strainer, not as a disc system for irrigation.
