Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, known as teflon) hose with a stainless steel braid cover, an SAE 100 R14-equivalent construction. Covers 3/16″ to 1-1/4″, with working pressure from 800 to 3000 psi (55 to 207 bar) depending on diameter and a 1:3 safety factor. Temperature range -73 °C to +260 °C (-100 °F to +500 °F), the widest in the catalog's hose family. Used in industrial, chemical and processing applications that demand extreme chemical and thermal resistance, plus low friction and high-quality electrical insulation.

PTFE is inert to virtually every industrial chemical, including solvents, strong acids and bases that quickly degrade rubber (EPDM, NBR, neoprene). Its temperature range, -73 °C to +260 °C, is the widest of any flexible hose in the catalog: below -40 °C and above 120-150 °C, no rubber construction in this catalog reliably keeps its flexibility and seal. The stainless steel braid does not add chemical resistance — PTFE already has that — but mechanical resistance to pressure and external abrasion, and protects the PTFE tube from impacts and cuts.
PTFE's low internal friction coefficient reduces pressure drop when conveying viscous liquids and prevents residue buildup on the inner wall; its high-quality electrical insulator property also makes it suitable for lines where stray current conduction must be avoided.

260 °C (500 °F) at the upper end and -73 °C (-100 °F) at the lower end, per the manufacturer sheet — the widest range in the hose catalog.
No: PTFE is already chemically inert to the vast majority of industrial solvents, acids and bases; check compatibility specifically only for elemental fluorine, molten alkali metals and a few very aggressive fluorides, which do attack PTFE.
Select by the exact diameter's W/P: allowable pressure drops from 3000 psi at 3/16″-5/16″ to 800 psi at 1-1/4″.
Respect the minimum bend radius; PTFE tends to creep/flat-spot if bent below the minimum and left that way for extended periods.
Check fluid compatibility only for the extreme cases noted (elemental fluorine, molten alkali metals); for the rest of industrial chemical services, PTFE is the universal compatibility reference.
The pressures, dimensions, weights and other characteristics in this sheet are theoretical calculation values obtained from nominal properties published in the standards cited (ASME B36.10-2022, ASME B31.3-2024, ASTM A106/A106M-19a, ASTM A53/A53M-24, API Spec 5L 46th ed.). They guide selection; they are not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
The actual behavior of each lot varies with manufacturing — wall tolerance (up to −12.5%), out-of-roundness, residual stresses — and with the raw material — chemical composition within the ranges the standard allows, heat-to-heat differences. To certify a lot, the tests defined by its product standard are required: tensile test, flattening test and hydrostatic test, documented in the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC), which TECTUL supplies upon request; testing of the lot in an independent laboratory can also be arranged.
These values must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever failure of the line may compromise people, property or the environment: in such cases the design belongs to the project's responsible engineer under the applicable code (ASME B31.3, B31.1 or the one governing the installation), with the design temperature, corrosion allowance and load cases of the actual service.
