Flexible TPR (thermoplastic rubber) duct with steel wire spiral reinforcement and a smooth inner wall, for industrial ventilation systems, smoke extraction and hot gas transfer. Covers 1″ to 12″, in 10 to 15 meter rolls. Temperature range -40 °C to +150 °C (-40 °F to +302 °F), higher than the catalog's generic flexible duct (-20 °C to +80 °C). Excellent heat and abrasion resistance, high flexibility for tight spaces.

IMPORTANT: reference data — may differ from the physical product; verify with an advisor before buying.

This technical data sheet is a reference guide to the properties of this product type; it is not a quality certificate for the product you are buying. The measurements, dimensions and physical or geometric characteristics of the product supplied may vary by manufacturer, heat and lot, and may even fall outside the cited standards. If any of these figures is critical to your design or build, verify it with one of our advisors against the physical product or the lot's mill certificate, so you can be fully certain of what you are buying. · Original data sheet: tectul.com/en/conduccion-de-fluidos/mangueras/ficha-tecnica-manguera-ducto-de-tpr-para-alta-temperatura-3102e6c9-ba6d-4484-81e6-9e2e868592f6.html
The 90 mm inner-diameter row appears in the manufacturer sheet as "15 1/2″", which is not a valid fraction and breaks the ascending sequence between 3-1/4″ (82 mm) and 4″ (102 mm); it is declared here as 3-1/2″, the reading consistent with the dimensional sequence and the rest of the catalog, rather than repeating a nonexistent fraction value.

The catalog has two flexible duct sheets: this TPR one with a steel spiral (-40 °C to +150 °C, for smoke and hot process gases) and the generic flexible duct (-20 °C to +80 °C, for HVAC and general ventilation). The temperature difference is not marginal: 150 °C covers industrial kitchen smoke extraction, light process ovens and hot gas transfer that would exceed the generic duct's thermal limit. The steel spiral, absent from the generic duct, also gives it greater mechanical resistance for installations where the duct may see compression or occasional foot traffic.
The material (TPR with a steel spiral vs. smooth PVC) and the thermal range: this duct reaches 150 °C, suitable for smoke and hot process gases; the generic one only reaches 80 °C, for general HVAC.
It is an invalid fraction that breaks the dimensional sequence; the actual diameter is 3-1/2″ (90 mm), consistent with that row's position between 3-1/4″ and 4″.
The manufacturer declares smoke extraction and hot gas transfer, not direct flame contact; confirm with the supplier if the application involves direct fire exposure.
Confirm the actual temperature of the gas/smoke to be conveyed against the 150 °C limit before specifying.
The steel spiral allows greater compression resistance than the generic duct, but still avoid frequent foot traffic over the installed duct.
For direct flame contact or primary combustion gases, confirm with the supplier a different construction qualified for that service.
The pressures, dimensions, weights and other characteristics in this sheet are theoretical calculation values obtained from nominal properties published in the standards cited (ASME B36.10-2022, ASME B31.3-2024, ASTM A106/A106M-19a, ASTM A53/A53M-24, API Spec 5L 46th ed.). They guide selection; they are not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
The actual behavior of each lot varies with manufacturing — wall tolerance (up to −12.5%), out-of-roundness, residual stresses — and with the raw material — chemical composition within the ranges the standard allows, heat-to-heat differences. To certify a lot, the tests defined by its product standard are required: tensile test, flattening test and hydrostatic test, documented in the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC), which TECTUL supplies upon request; testing of the lot in an independent laboratory can also be arranged.
These values must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever failure of the line may compromise people, property or the environment: in such cases the design belongs to the project's responsible engineer under the applicable code (ASME B31.3, B31.1 or the one governing the installation), with the design temperature, corrosion allowance and load cases of the actual service.
