Low pressure hydraulic hose under SAE 100 R6, with an oil-resistant synthetic rubber inner tube, a single textile mesh reinforcement and an abrasion-resistant synthetic rubber cover. Covers 3/16″ to 3/4″, with working pressure from 300 to 500 psi (21 to 34 bar) depending on diameter and a 1:4 safety factor. Service range -40 °C to +100 °C. Used in oil, low-pressure and lubrication lines across agricultural, automotive and industrial sectors; it is the single textile-reinforced construction, distinct from the NBR SAE 100R6/EN 854 fuel-line hose, which lives on a separate sheet.

Both catalog hoses cite SAE 100R6, but they are different constructions for different services. This sheet (synthetic rubber, textile mesh, rubber cover) is meant for general-purpose low-pressure oil and lubrication lines. The sibling "SAE 100R6/EN 854" sheet uses an NBR tube and cover with high-resistance polyester reinforcement and is specifically formulated for fuel lines with up to 50% aromatic content — a service this synthetic rubber construction does not declare it can handle. Do not interchange them: check the line's actual fluid before choosing.
This construction's W/P drops from 500 psi at 3/16″ to 300 psi at 3/4″, consistent with low-pressure circuits rather than hydraulic power.
Not without checking first: this construction's synthetic rubber tube is not formulated for fuels with high aromatic content. For that application use the sibling NBR SAE 100R6/EN 854 sheet.
3/4″; for larger low-pressure diameters consider the catalog's SAE 100R5 family.
The reinforcement: R6 uses a single textile mesh, while R5 combines textile mesh and steel mesh, giving R5 higher W/P at the same diameter (e.g. 400 psi at R6 1/2″ vs. 1750 psi at R5 1/2″).
Confirm the service fluid before specifying: this construction is for general oil/lubrication, not fuel.
Respect the minimum bend radius per diameter; single-mesh reinforcement is more sensitive to crushing than steel-braid constructions.
Do not substitute this construction for a fuel or high-pressure line; check the corresponding sibling sheet.
The pressures, dimensions, weights and other characteristics in this sheet are theoretical calculation values obtained from nominal properties published in the standards cited (ASME B36.10-2022, ASME B31.3-2024, ASTM A106/A106M-19a, ASTM A53/A53M-24, API Spec 5L 46th ed.). They guide selection; they are not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
The actual behavior of each lot varies with manufacturing — wall tolerance (up to −12.5%), out-of-roundness, residual stresses — and with the raw material — chemical composition within the ranges the standard allows, heat-to-heat differences. To certify a lot, the tests defined by its product standard are required: tensile test, flattening test and hydrostatic test, documented in the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC), which TECTUL supplies upon request; testing of the lot in an independent laboratory can also be arranged.
These values must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever failure of the line may compromise people, property or the environment: in such cases the design belongs to the project's responsible engineer under the applicable code (ASME B31.3, B31.1 or the one governing the installation), with the design temperature, corrosion allowance and load cases of the actual service.
