Ultra-high-pressure hose for sewer cleaning, with a polyethylene inner tube, high-tension textile reinforcement and an abrasion-, cut- and fungus-resistant polyurethane cover. Covers 1/2″ to 1-1/4″, in 100 meter rolls, with a 2900 psi (200 bar) working pressure and 7250 psi (500 bar) burst pressure across the range, a 1:2.5 safety factor. Service range -20 °C to +40 °C. Ideal for mounting on vactor-type trucks (combined suction and sewer jetting equipment).

A vactor truck combines high-vacuum suction and an ultra-high-pressure water jet: the jet breaks up and dislodges the obstruction (grease, sediment, roots) inside the sewer pipe, while suction removes the dislodged material to the vehicle's tank. To achieve that remote hydraulic cutting power inside reduced-diameter pipes, the hose operates at 2900 psi (200 bar), far above any other general-service hose in the catalog, with a narrow elongation tolerance (±1.5%) to keep the rotary nozzle's reach consistent inside the pipe. The 1:2.5 safety factor — lower than the usual 1:3 for hydraulic hoses — is typical of ultra-high-pressure thermoplastic hoses specifically certified for this duty cycle, not an arbitrary relaxation of the design margin.
The +40 °C upper limit is notably lower than other catalog hoses: unlike hydraulic or steam hoses, this one prioritizes fatigue resistance under extreme pressure rather than a wide thermal range, because its service fluid is ambient-temperature water.

It is the value the manufacturer declares for this ultra-high-pressure thermoplastic construction certified for the sewer-cleaning duty cycle; it is not an arbitrary adjustment.
How much the hose stretches under working pressure; a narrow tolerance is needed to keep the rotary nozzle's reach predictable inside the pipe being cleaned.
Confirm the specific vactor unit operates within 2900 psi working pressure before installing; do not exceed that value.
Respect the minimum bend radius per diameter; on a vactor truck reel, inspect the cover for cuts after each day of sewer use.
Do not use this hose with hot water above 40 °C, and do not substitute it with a similar-pressure hydraulic hose without verifying certification for sewer-cleaning duty cycle.
The pressures, dimensions, weights and other characteristics in this sheet are theoretical calculation values obtained from nominal properties published in the standards cited (ASME B36.10-2022, ASME B31.3-2024, ASTM A106/A106M-19a, ASTM A53/A53M-24, API Spec 5L 46th ed.). They guide selection; they are not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
The actual behavior of each lot varies with manufacturing — wall tolerance (up to −12.5%), out-of-roundness, residual stresses — and with the raw material — chemical composition within the ranges the standard allows, heat-to-heat differences. To certify a lot, the tests defined by its product standard are required: tensile test, flattening test and hydrostatic test, documented in the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC), which TECTUL supplies upon request; testing of the lot in an independent laboratory can also be arranged.
These values must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever failure of the line may compromise people, property or the environment: in such cases the design belongs to the project's responsible engineer under the applicable code (ASME B31.3, B31.1 or the one governing the installation), with the design temperature, corrosion allowance and load cases of the actual service.
