The threaded bronze globe check valve is a non-return valve with a globe-pattern body for horizontal mounting: the disc opens with flow and closes on pressure reversal. In class 125 per MSS SP-80-2019 it allows 200 psi (13.8 bar) on water, air or gas at 38 °C and 125 psi (8.6 bar) on saturated steam.
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Type standard | MSS SP-80-2019 — bronze gate, globe, angle and check valves |
| Pressure class | 125 |
| Cold working pressure (WOG) | 200 psi (13.8 bar) at 38 °C (100 °F) |
| Saturated steam pressure (SWP) | 125 psi (8.6 bar) |
| Body | Cast bronze ASTM B62, usual for the type — confirm lot alloy when quoting |
| Connection | Female NPT thread per ASME B1.20.1-2013 (R2018) |
| Lot sizes | 1/2", 3/4", 1" (DN 15, 20, 25) |
| Mounting | Horizontal run, per flow arrow cast on the body |

We dispatch threaded bronze globe check valves to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla and all of Colombia. Request a quote via WhatsApp with size, fluid, quantity and actual operating conditions to confirm compatibility before purchasing.
In class 125 per MSS SP-80-2019 it withstands 200 psi (13.8 bar) cold working pressure on water, air or gas and 125 psi (8.6 bar) on saturated steam. Confirm the class marked on the lot body when quoting.
The globe check works horizontally with the disc housed in a globe-pattern body; the swing check closes with an oscillating flap and the vertical spring check installs in ascending lines. Each covers different mounting orientations.
It is installed in a horizontal run following the flow arrow cast on the body, with NPT thread per ASME B1.20.1-2013 (R2018) and compatible sealant. It does not replace a manual shutoff valve.
The price depends on size (1/2" to 1"), quantity and availability. TECTUL quotes per unit with the actual application data.

The dimensions, thicknesses, pressures, temperatures and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, ISO and NTC, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and wall-thickness tolerances (in pipe, typically ±12.5%), surface finish and residual stresses from forming or welding — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: water hammer, vibration, thermal and mechanical fatigue, corrosion and operating overpressures, which can cause the element to fail before its estimated service life.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies upon request the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) issued per the product standard; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever the integrity of the line may compromise the lives of people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
