The flanged carbon steel globe valve regulates flow in steam, condensate and thermal oil: the disc lowers onto a seat perpendicular to the flow, allowing stable throttling. Cast carbon steel body with class 150 flanged ends; at that rating the usual type material (WCB) allows 285 psig (19.6 bar) at 38 °C per ASME B16.34-2025. Made to order.
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Rating standard | ASME B16.34-2025 — class 150, material group 1.1 (cast carbon steel) |
| Pressure-temperature | 285 psig (19.6 bar) at 38 °C; 200 psig (13.8 bar) at 200 °C — allowable pressure drops as temperature rises; validate the steam pair against the standard table |
| Body | Cast carbon steel — ASTM A216 grade WCB usual for the type; confirm when quoting |
| Type design | Steel globe valve with bolted bonnet; where the project requires it, per API Std 623 (2nd ed., 2021) |
| Ends | Class 150 flanged per ASME B16.5-2025 |
| Service | Steam, condensate, thermal oil and hot water; trim (disc and seat) validated against the fluid when quoting |
| Availability | Made to order, per unit |

We dispatch flanged carbon steel globe valves to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla and all of Colombia. Request a quote via WhatsApp with size, fluid, operating temperature and quantity to confirm made-to-order lead time and price.
The WCB carbon steel body in class 150 allows 285 psig (19.6 bar) at 38 °C and 200 psig (13.8 bar) at 200 °C per ASME B16.34-2025. On steam, pressure and temperature are linked, so the actual system condition must be validated against the standard pressure-temperature table.
Because the globe throttles with a stable disc-to-seat relationship at intermediate positions; the gate valve is designed for fully open or closed service and suffers erosion and vibration if left partially open to regulate.
Nominal size, class (150 or other), fluid and operating temperature, required trim material and quantity. With that data TECTUL confirms the lead time, since it is a made-to-order reference.
It is a made-to-order reference: the price depends on size, class, trim and quantity. TECTUL quotes via WhatsApp with the actual steam or thermal fluid conditions of the project.

The dimensions, thicknesses, pressures, temperatures and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, ISO and NTC, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and wall-thickness tolerances (in pipe, typically ±12.5%), surface finish and residual stresses from forming or welding — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: water hammer, vibration, thermal and mechanical fatigue, corrosion and operating overpressures, which can cause the element to fail before its estimated service life.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies upon request the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) issued per the product standard; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever the integrity of the line may compromise the lives of people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
