03Technical description

The angled pressure reducing valve reduces and stabilizes downstream pressure in water networks: the spring-diaphragm assembly holds the set outlet pressure even as inlet pressure varies. Type standardized by EN 1567:1999: inlet up to 1.6 MPa (16 bar), cold water up to 30 °C or hot water up to 80 °C. Lot sizes: 1/2", 3/4" and 1".

Type specifications

FeatureSpecification
Type standardEN 1567:1999 — water pressure reducing valves for buildings, DN 8 to DN 100
Type maximum inlet pressure1.6 MPa (16 bar) per EN 1567:1999 — confirm the lot value when quoting
Type service temperatureUp to 30 °C in cold water and up to 80 °C in hot water, per EN 1567:1999
Outlet pressureSpring-adjustable; the lot adjustment range is confirmed when quoting
Angled bodyThe regulation assembly sits angled to the pipe axis, giving frontal access to the cartridge for maintenance without removing the valve from the line

04Frequently asked questions

What does a pressure reducing valve do?

It lowers the network pressure to a set outlet value and keeps it stable even as inlet pressure varies: the spring and diaphragm close the passage as the outlet reaches the setting. The type standardized by EN 1567:1999 allows up to 16 bar inlet.

What outlet pressure can be set?

The outlet is adjusted with the spring screw within the model range; the adjustment range of the lot references is confirmed when quoting. A downstream pressure gauge is used to set it precisely.

Where is the angled reducing valve installed?

After the meter or service connection and before the consumption points to protect, with a strainer upstream and following the flow arrow. The angled body leaves the cartridge accessible from the front for maintenance.

What is the price of the angled pressure reducing valve?

The price is per unit and depends on the size (1/2", 3/4" or 1") and quantity. TECTUL quotes via WhatsApp with the actual inlet and outlet pressures of the network.
