LED Area Floodlight

The LED area floodlight projects light outdoors at 50 to 400 W with IP66 (IEC 60529): dust-tight and resistant to powerful water jets. It is built to IEC 60598-2-5 (floodlights), and illuminance for yards and outdoor work areas is designed to RETILAP levels.

Industrial LED Area Floodlight is a luminaire for lighting maneuvering yards, facades, loading areas, outdoor parking lots, perimeters and open work areas. In the TECTUL lot it is reported as an industrial LED floodlight from 50 to 400 W with IP66 protection, oriented to outdoor use where broad projection and resistance to dust and rain are required. It differs from a highbay because it is not intended for vertical suspension in high warehouses, but for mounting on a pole, wall, structure or arm; and it differs from a vapor-tight luminaire because it concentrates the beam toward an open area, not toward corridors or linear zones. To quote properly, it is not enough to ask for “a floodlight”: define wattage, quantity, installation height, surface to be lit, water exposure, support type, available voltage and whether the mounting requires adjustable aiming.

Selection guide

• Use the actual wattage reported in the lot, 50 to 400 W, as a starting point and confirm availability before buying.
• Select IP66 when the equipment will be exposed to rain, ambient dust or indirect washdown.
• Define whether mounting will be on pole, wall, facade, roof or metal structure to validate support and aiming.
• Avoid comparing only by watts: beam distribution, height, angle and surroundings change the field result.

Installation recommendations

• Install the floodlight on a firm base and adjust the tilt to illuminate the useful area without glaring operators, neighbors or roads.
• Protect splices and connections with boxes or accessories suitable for outdoor use; the floodlight IP rating does not correct a poorly sealed connection.
• Verify available voltage, conductor gauge, grounding/earthing and circuit protection before energizing.
• Leave access for lens cleaning, cable gland inspection and support adjustment after vibration or wind.
