The 304 stainless steel sheet #4 PE finish is an AISI 304 sheet with directional satin polish and protective plastic film. It is used when the visible face matters: industrial kitchens, hoods, countertops, elevators, interior facades, equipment, doors, panels, technical furniture, and cladding. The #4 finish is a brushed or satin polish recognized in ASTM A480 finish nomenclature for stainless flat products; the PE film helps preserve the surface during transport and fabrication. Compared with 304 2B PE, this reference provides a more decorative final appearance; compared with 201 #4 PE or 430 #4 PE, 304 offers better overall performance against corrosion and washing. It must be selected according to environment, cleaning, polishing direction, and visual requirements of the project.

#4 PE has directional satin polish for visible surfaces. 2B PE is uniformly matte and is used more for general technical fabrication.
Align the polishing direction, protect the face with film during installation, and use fasteners or adhesives compatible with the substrate and environment.
Yes, 304 #4 PE is common in countertops, hoods, and visible panels, with a design that allows cleaning and avoids dirt accumulation.
Yes. The film is temporary; remove it at the end of installation or earlier if it will be exposed to heat, sun, or welding processes.
The lot includes thicknesses from 0,60 mm to 2,50 mm in 1219 x 2438, 1524 x 3048, and 1000 x 3048 formats, according to thickness.

The dimensions, thicknesses, finishes and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASTM, ASME, ISO, NTC and EN, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and thickness tolerances, surface finish and residual stresses from rolling or forming — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: overloads, vibration, mechanical or thermal fatigue, corrosion and operating conditions different from those stated.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) upon request; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever structural integrity may compromise people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
