The 430 stainless steel sheet 2B PE is a ferritic sheet (AISI 430, UNS S43000 per ASTM A240/A240M) with 2B finish and protective plastic film, ideal for interior parts where a uniform matte surface and scratch reduction during fabrication are required. It is used in panels, cabinets, covers, furniture parts, cladding, and technical components in low-aggressiveness environments. AISI 430 is normally magnetic and has lower corrosion performance than 304, so it should be reserved for interiors, dry environments, or moderate exposure. The 2B finish is produced by cold rolling, annealing, and pickling with a final light skin pass on polished rolls, per ASTM A480/A480M, the standard that also governs thickness, width, and flatness tolerances. Compared with 430 2B without PE, this version protects the visible face; compared with 430 BA PE, it does not seek mirror-like brightness; compared with 304 2B PE, it prioritizes cost and acceptable magnetism over higher corrosion resistance.

TECTUL supplies 430 stainless steel 2B PE sheet for interior fabrication and cost-efficient visible parts. We dispatch to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, and all of Colombia. Request a quote via WhatsApp with thickness and quantity.
It depends on thickness, quantity, and availability. TECTUL quotes by unit and coordinates dispatch across Colombia.
430 2B PE has a uniform matte finish; 430 BA PE has a protected bright finish for decorative applications with higher reflectivity.
Keep the film during fabrication, use clean supports, and remove it at the end of installation or before applying heat.
It is not the recommended option for demanding outdoor exposure. For outdoor service or frequent moisture, 304 or another specification should be evaluated.
Yes, AISI 430 is ferritic and normally magnetic.
This lot includes 0,90 mm, 1,20 mm, and 1,50 mm, all in 1219 x 3048 format.
ASTM A240/A240M defines the composition and mechanical properties of grade 430, and ASTM A480/A480M defines the 2B finish and the dimensional tolerances of the flat product. The lot quality certificate is supplied on request.

The dimensions, thicknesses, finishes and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASTM, ASME, ISO, NTC and EN, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and thickness tolerances, surface finish and residual stresses from rolling or forming — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: overloads, vibration, mechanical or thermal fatigue, corrosion and operating conditions different from those stated.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) upon request; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever structural integrity may compromise people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
