The 430 stainless steel sheet BA PE is a ferritic sheet with bright BA finish and protective plastic film. It is selected for decorative panels, interior cladding, displays, appliances, visible parts, signage, furniture, and applications where brightness with controlled cost is required. The BA finish, also known as bright annealed, is a bright surface achieved by annealing in a controlled atmosphere within stainless flat product finish families referenced by ASTM A480. Compared with 430 2B PE, this version offers greater brightness; compared with 430 #4 PE, it has no directional satin; compared with 304 in visible finishes, 430 is recommended for less aggressive environments. As a ferritic stainless steel, it is normally magnetic and requires careful selection under moisture, chlorides, or intensive chemical cleaning.
