201-J1 Stainless Steel Square Ornamental Tube is a decorative tubular profile in 201-J1 series stainless steel for railings, grilles, partitions, displays, and light furniture where stainless appearance is desired with controlled investment. It is an ornamental reference: it does not replace schedule pipe for conveyance or sanitary process tube. Its purchase is defined by nominal side, gauge, visible finish, straightness, and final use. Compared with 304 stainless steel square ornamental tube, 201-J1 is oriented to indoor applications or less aggressive environments; 304 is preferred where there is outdoor exposure, frequent cleaning, or higher corrosion demand. In visible structures, the result depends as much on the material as on cutting, polishing, welding, fastening, and maintenance. To avoid errors, indicate whether the piece will be indoors, covered outdoors, in a wet area, in contact with cleaning chemicals, or welded in place.

The price depends on size, gauge, quantity, and availability. TECTUL confirms whether the application allows 201-J1 or whether upgrading to 304 is advisable.
201-J1 is a more economical option for indoor or less demanding environments; 304 offers better corrosion resistance and is preferred outdoors or for frequent cleaning.
It is cut, welded, or fastened according to the railing, grille, or furniture design. The visible surface must be protected and the weld area cleaned to preserve the finish.
It is not the correct reference for fluid conveyance. For that, schedule stainless pipe or sanitary tubing is used, according to pressure, cleaning, and process type.
Send side size, gauge, quantity, desired finish, indoor or outdoor use, and whether cutting or preparation for fabrication is required.
Yes. TECTUL dispatches to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, and other cities in Colombia according to availability, volume, and carrier.

The dimensions, thicknesses, finishes and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASTM, ASME, ISO, NTC and EN, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and thickness tolerances, surface finish and residual stresses from rolling or forming — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: overloads, vibration, mechanical or thermal fatigue, corrosion and operating conditions different from those stated.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) upon request; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever structural integrity may compromise people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
