Seamless SCH10 stainless steel pipe is light-wall pipe for lines where stainless material and seamless manufacture are required. It is dimensionally referenced with ASME B36.19M and may be specified under ASTM A312/A312M depending on grade and service. Its difference from welded SCH10 is the absence of longitudinal weld; compared with seamless SCH40, it offers lower weight when the calculation allows a lighter wall. It should not be confused with instrumentation tubing, which is purchased by OD and wall thickness.
