Rigid Type L copper tube is seamless copper tubing for installations where a balance between thickness, cost and performance is sought. ASTM B88/B88M covers copper water tubes in types K, L and M; Type L sits between K and M in wall thickness, so it is usually selected when Type M is not enough and Type K is oversized for the project. Nominal CTS sizes are not equal to the actual outside diameter, so it is advisable to quote with the nominal size and the actual size indicated in the sheet.
