The bronze float valve controls automatic tank filling: the arm with the ball closes the water inlet as the level rises and opens it as the level drops, with no external power. Bronze body, sizes from 1/2" to 3", Helbert references in the lot; rod and ball are configured per installation.
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Function | Mechanical level control (filling) by lever float; closing is proportional as the level rises |
| Body | Bronze — ASTM B62 casting usual for the type; lot alloy confirmed when quoting |
| Connection | Threaded; lot standard confirmed (NPT per ASME B1.20.1-2013 (R2018) is usual) |
| Lot sizes | 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3" (8 sizes) |
| Complements | Rod and copper ball; the copper float ball is a separate reference in the TECTUL catalog |
| Installation framework | Hydraulic and sanitary installations regulated in Colombia by NTC 1500:2023 (sixth edition) |
| Working pressure | Not published for the lot — confirm when quoting |

We dispatch bronze float valves to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla and all of Colombia. Request a quote via WhatsApp with size, tank size and quantity to confirm availability and price.
By mechanical lever action: the ball floats on the water and, as the tank level rises, the arm pushes the plug against the seat until the inlet closes; when the level drops, the arm falls and the valve opens again. It needs no electric power.
The lot covers 8 threaded sizes: 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2" and 3". The size is chosen by the tank inlet diameter and the required filling flow.
It depends on the lot reference: the float valve is offered alone or as a set with rod and ball, and the copper ball is also sold separately as a spare in the TECTUL catalog. The exact configuration is confirmed when quoting.
The price is per unit and depends on the size (1/2" to 3"), the configuration (alone or with rod and ball) and quantity. TECTUL quotes via WhatsApp with the actual tank data.

The dimensions, thicknesses, pressures, temperatures and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, ISO and NTC, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and wall-thickness tolerances (in pipe, typically ±12.5%), surface finish and residual stresses from forming or welding — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: water hammer, vibration, thermal and mechanical fatigue, corrosion and operating overpressures, which can cause the element to fail before its estimated service life.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies upon request the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) issued per the product standard; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever the integrity of the line may compromise the lives of people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
