The flanged metallic triple-action air valve is a combination air valve for water supply systems: it expels large air volumes when filling the pipeline, admits air when draining to prevent vacuum, and releases the air that accumulates during pressurized operation. Flanged ductile iron body; the type is standardized by AWWA C512-25. Made to order.
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Type standard | AWWA C512-25 — air-release, air/vacuum and combination air valves for water and wastewater service, metallic body and cover |
| Function | Combination («triple action»): air/vacuum when filling and draining + automatic air release in operation |
| Type design pressure | Up to 300 psig (20.7 bar) per AWWA C512-25 — confirm the lot class when quoting |
| Liquid temperature | Above 0 °C up to 52 °C (125 °F), pH between 6 and 12, per AWWA C512-25 |
| Type size range | Combination air valves from 1/2" to 20" (13-500 mm) per AWWA C512-25 |

We dispatch flanged triple-action air valves to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla and all of Colombia. Request a quote via WhatsApp with diameter, flange class, network pressure and quantity to confirm lead time and price.
It performs three functions in one valve: expels large air volumes while the pipeline fills, admits air while it drains to prevent vacuum and collapse, and releases the air that accumulates at high points during pressurized operation. It is the combination valve of AWWA C512-25.
The type standardized by AWWA C512-25 is designed for maximum pressures of 300 psig (20.7 bar) with liquid between 0 °C and 52 °C; the specific lot class is confirmed when quoting because it is a made-to-order product.
At the high points of the pipeline profile, at sharp slope changes and downstream of pumps, inside drained chambers and with an isolation valve below so it can be serviced without draining the network.
It is a made-to-order reference: the price depends on diameter, flange class, design pressure and quantity. TECTUL quotes with the network data and confirms the import or manufacturing lead time.

The dimensions, thicknesses, pressures, temperatures and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, ISO and NTC, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and wall-thickness tolerances (in pipe, typically ±12.5%), surface finish and residual stresses from forming or welding — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: water hammer, vibration, thermal and mechanical fatigue, corrosion and operating overpressures, which can cause the element to fail before its estimated service life.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies upon request the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) issued per the product standard; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever the integrity of the line may compromise the lives of people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
