201-J1 Stainless Steel Round Ornamental Tube is a decorative circular profile for handrails, indoor railings, furniture, partitions, and light structures where stainless appearance is required with controlled cost. The round section provides comfortable grip and clean aesthetics, but it must not be confused with schedule stainless pipe for conveyance or sanitary tube for food. 201-J1 steel is mainly used in less aggressive applications; compared with 304 stainless steel round ornamental tube, it offers an economical alternative, while 304 is recommended where there is moisture, outdoor exposure, or more frequent cleaning. The decision must not be based only on diameter: review gauge, finish, exposure, joining method, and maintenance. For works with pedestrian traffic or loads, validate the support, anchor, and weld design with the technical responsible party.

The price depends on diameter, gauge, quantity, and availability. TECTUL validates whether the environment allows 201-J1 or whether AISI 304 is advisable.
201-J1 is more economical and is oriented to interiors or less demanding environments; 304 offers better corrosion resistance for outdoor service, moisture, or frequent cleaning.
It is cut, welded, curved, or fastened according to the handrail or furniture design. Visible surfaces must be protected and welded areas cleaned.
No. It is ornamental tube. To convey fluids, stainless schedule pipe, sanitary pipe, or tubing must be used according to service.
Send diameter, gauge, quantity, desired finish, whether it will be indoors or outdoors, and whether cutting, bending, or additional fabrication is required.
Yes. TECTUL dispatches to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, and other cities in Colombia according to availability, volume, and carrier.

The dimensions, thicknesses, finishes and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASTM, ASME, ISO, NTC and EN, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and thickness tolerances, surface finish and residual stresses from rolling or forming — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: overloads, vibration, mechanical or thermal fatigue, corrosion and operating conditions different from those stated.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) upon request; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever structural integrity may compromise people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
