A bimetal thermometer converts the expansion of a two-metal coil into needle rotation: it measures temperature with no power supply or capillaries. Series with stainless steel case and stem for industrial processes, corrosive media and sanitary industry, with fixed or adjustable-angle stem (the head swivels and tilts to face the reading point), back connection in 1/4" and 1/2" NPT.

The reference standard for direct-reading thermometers is ASME B40.200 (Thermometers, Direct Reading and Remote Reading).
On pressurized lines or tanks the thermometer is installed inside a threaded stainless steel thermowell, which allows removing it without depressurizing the process.
It is the bimetal thermometer with an adjustable stem: the head swivels and tilts to aim the dial at the reading point regardless of mounting angle. This series offers 3" (COP $181,800, in stock) and 5" (COP $258,600, made to order) adjustable versions.
On pressurized lines or tanks, yes: the threaded thermowell isolates the stem from the fluid and allows removing the thermometer without depressurizing or draining the line.
