Certified class 600 spiral wound gasket for sealing industrial flanged joints where a metal gasket with good elastic recovery, traceability, and selection by flange class is required. At TECTUL it is quoted in stainless steel 316, with a spiral wound design for compatible flanges and technical review under ASME B16.20 criteria when the project requests it. It differs from the class 300 gasket and the class 900 gasket because the flange class defines the purchase geometry; matching in inches is not enough. It also differs from a flat fiber or rubber gasket because it combines metal winding and filler material for more demanding services. To request it correctly, report nominal diameter, class 600, required material, flange face type, quantity, and whether you need a certificate.

The price depends on size, quantity, exact material, requested certificate, and availability. TECTUL quotes with the flange class to avoid selection errors.
Both are spiral wound gaskets, but class 600 and class 900 correspond to different flanges and gasket dimensions. They must not be interchanged even if the nominal diameter is the same.
It is installed centered between clean flanges, with bolts in good condition and cross-tightening in stages according to the installation procedure.
Send nominal size, class 600, quantity, material, fluid, flange type, and whether you need material certificate or traceability.
No. Compatibility depends on winding material, filler, flange, temperature, fluid, and assembly procedure.
Yes. TECTUL dispatches to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, and other cities in Colombia depending on availability and carrier.

The dimensions, thicknesses, pressures, temperatures and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, ISO and NTC, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and wall-thickness tolerances (in pipe, typically ±12.5%), surface finish and residual stresses from forming or welding — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: water hammer, vibration, thermal and mechanical fatigue, corrosion and operating overpressures, which can cause the element to fail before its estimated service life.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies upon request the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) issued per the product standard; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever the integrity of the line may compromise the lives of people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
