Certified class 600 spiral wound gasket for sealing industrial flanged joints where a metal gasket with good elastic recovery, traceability, and selection by flange class is required. It differs from the class 300 gasket and the class 900 gasket because the flange class defines the purchase geometry; matching in inches is not enough. It also differs from a flat fiber or rubber gasket because it combines metal winding and filler material for more demanding services. Installation recommendations

• Clean flange faces, bolts, and nuts before assembly to avoid uneven load on the gasket.

• Tighten in a cross pattern and in stages according to the project procedure.
• After the test, check for leaks and joint relaxation before leaving the line in operation.
