Certified RTJ RX Ring Joint Gasket is a metal ring for grooved RTJ flanges where the gasket works by precise seating in the groove and controlled bolt load. TECTUL quotes it in stainless steel 316 for projects that require clear identification of profile, material, and certificate. The buyer must request it as type RX with ring number or drawing, because the term RTJ alone does not define the geometry. It differs from RTJ BX by the sealing profile and required groove; it also differs from type R because it belongs to another ring configuration. Its selection is related to ASME B16.20 or API 6A criteria when the specification requires it. To avoid rework, send photo of the nameplate, drawing, groove number, required material, and quantity.
We dispatch to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla and all of Colombia. Request a quote via WhatsApp for your RTJ RX gasket with ring type, material, quantity, application, and required certificate.
The price depends on ring number, material, quantity, certificate, and availability. TECTUL confirms the reference before quoting.
RX and BX have different geometries and work in specific grooves. They are not interchangeable even though both are RTJ.
It must be installed in a clean RTJ groove, with the correct ring, aligned flanges, and cross-tightening according to the equipment procedure.
It is better to indicate RTJ RX, ring number, and material. The name oval ring can cause confusion with other RTJ profiles.
It is not recommended in critical services. A compressed ring may lose sealing capacity or traceability.
Yes. TECTUL dispatches to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, and other cities depending on availability.

The dimensions, thicknesses, pressures, temperatures and other characteristics stated in this data sheet are theoretical nominal reference values, compiled from publicly available technical sources: international standards (ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, ISO and NTC, depending on the product) and published engineering literature. They are average approximations intended to guide selection, not a certificate of conformity for any given lot.
Actual values may vary due to conditions inherent to the manufacturing process — dimensional and wall-thickness tolerances (in pipe, typically ±12.5%), surface finish and residual stresses from forming or welding — and to factors inherent to the raw material — chemical composition variations within the ranges allowed by the standard, inclusions or heat-to-heat differences. They may also be affected by in-service events not foreseeable at design time: water hammer, vibration, thermal and mechanical fatigue, corrosion and operating overpressures, which can cause the element to fail before its estimated service life.
To know the certified behavior of a specific lot, TECTUL supplies upon request the manufacturer's mill test certificate (MTC) issued per the product standard; for critical applications, laboratory testing of the lot can also be arranged. In the absence of such certification, the data provided here must not be used as the sole criterion in critical or safety applications, or wherever the integrity of the line may compromise the lives of people or property; in such cases, consult our technical team first.
