304 stainless steel split lock washer is a TECTUL reference for supporting tightening retention in general-use stainless fasteners, equipment, cabinets, supports and assemblies with humidity or moderate washdown. Its function should be read from the washer type: flat washers distribute load and protect the surface, split lock washers help retain tightening, toothed washers bite into the bearing face, and sealing washers work by deformation or compression. In this product the main material is 304 stainless steel and the technical family is split lock washer for inch threads. It differs because it is a 304 stainless steel split lock washer; it should not be confused with the stainless flat washer, which only distributes load. To quote without errors, report size, quantity, bolt or nut type, working environment, required finish and whether the purchase will be by unit or by kilo. We do not recommend substituting with a similar part if the drawing requires ASTM F436/F436M, 316 stainless steel, a specific gauge, hot-dip galvanized finish or a special reference.
