Black ASTM F436 flat washer is a TECTUL reference for working with high-strength structural bolts when the design calls for a hardened washer without hot-dip galvanizing. Its function should be read from the washer type: flat washers distribute load and protect the surface, split lock washers help retain tightening, toothed washers bite into the bearing face, and sealing washers work by deformation or compression. In this product the main material is black carbon steel and the technical family is ASTM F436. It differs because it performs a structural bearing function for bolts, different from a commercial black flat washer. To quote without errors, report size, quantity, bolt or nut type, working environment, required finish and whether the purchase will be by unit or by kilo. We do not recommend substituting with a similar part if the drawing requires ASTM F436/F436M, 316 stainless steel, a specific gauge, hot-dip galvanized finish or a special reference.
