Metric zinc-plated spring lock washer is a TECTUL reference for maintaining clamp load in zinc-plated metric fasteners for equipment, supports, light machinery and industrial assemblies. Its function must be read from the washer type: flat washers distribute load and protect the surface, spring lock washers help retain clamp load, toothed washers bite into the bearing face, and sealing washers work by deformation or compression. In this product, the main material is zinc-plated carbon steel and the technical family is spring lock for metric thread. It differs from the zinc-plated inch-thread reference because its actual sizes are in millimeters. To quote without errors, it is useful to provide size, quantity, bolt or nut type, working environment, required finish and whether the purchase will be by unit or by kilogram. We do not recommend substituting a similar-looking part if the drawing requires ASTM F436/F436M, 316 stainless steel, a specific gauge, hot-dip galvanized finish or a special reference.
